The importance of the home

Your precious family is dear to you and the heart of God. We want nothing more than to help our families grow in the knowledge and joy of the Lord!

 

Mixing of generations, mentorship

We deeply believe that our church family is a tremendous blessing to each of our homes. We learn so much from being with one another. Our younger generation learns so much from our older members, and our youth teach our older ones too! While we seek to provide some events exclusively for our youth, we firmly believe in the family concept and the mixing of generations... and we make no apology!

Focus on youth and family

Relevant Bible teaching on issues impacting youth and family are always a focus built into our yearly curriculum. This is seen in the Bible classes we provide, sermons, and other special events. 

 

Summer time and other time

Summer time gives us a special opportunity to focus on our youth and families. We typically participate in a Thursday evening family series each week. It is a highlight of the summer and the year! Several of our youth go to a great week-long Christian camp at Quartz Mountain, OK during the summer, where they enjoy meeting other great kids, learning the Bible and having wholesome fun together. Other events of various nature are engaged in from time to time.

Commitment to youth and family

A vital part of our work is to help our families develop stronger Christian homes that will be a cherished blessing for a lifetime. This is facilitated through building commitment to the Word of God, developing the character He wants us to possess, and honing our skills that lead to productive and fulfilling family life.

 

We seek to accomplish this through sincere, relevant and practical Bible study, including lessons geared toward specific aspects of youth and family life, providing opportunities for growth, service, and the development of leadership skills.

 

While we like to have fun together, and do exactly that no matter what we are engaged in, we are not an entertainment venue. Instead, we experience and cultivate a deeper joy and fulfillment that comes to families who truly love God and love others.

 

We want to help our own youth and family and reach out to others as well. We are always willing to do what we can to help. Let us know if you have questions or there is some way that we can be of assistance to your family.
